All the products on this site
are originals. Available no- where else in the world. Hand sculpted by Donnaware Pottery
of England. No bought in moulds, I make my own, and certainly no reproductions of old
originals or ornaments disguised as Pie Birds! I usually have a small selection already
made, see special offer at the moment

This pie funnel in the shape
of a sheaf of wheat, plain white & no markings.
It's been around the house in various cupboards for years and it was only
when I came across your site that I thought about it. I live in Stoke on Trent
- home of the pottery industry but I have a feeling that this is not a local piece.
Any clues please to it's origin?

Can anyone
identify this little lady please?
Mail
Hi,
I'm really new at this at this type of collection, but would like to get
started. I had to hunt through a lot of kitchen drawers to come up with this little
lady that I used many years ago. I have no information on her at all and I would
like some. I can't even remember when I bought her. She is 3 1/2 inches tall,
has a chipped nose and a baking spot in her hair. Thanks a lot,
Bonnie |
 The little
"Lady Baker" shown on your website is a pie bird/funnel made
by Josef. It was generally produced in Japan. I am enclosing a photo of
one with its original tag.
Many thanks from Rita |
Mariel Hunkeler sent in this photo of a Donald duck pie bird.
He is about 4" tall, is dressed in a sailor suit and looks upward,
beak open, of course. "Donald Duck" is written on each side of the base of
the pie bird.
Value ? who knows the real value?
Maker? was it really Disney who made this and are their any more like it around today?

$1200 - $1500!!? Anyone buy it? Let us know if you know any different.

I have an elephant pie vent. (picture below) I believe it is white, although has some
discolouration from use. Some crazing, but no cracks or chips. It has the
registered no. 860928 - I note other correspondent has said this is a
"mistake". I am interested in selling it and I live in
Australia. Any interest/offers? Regards Bronwyn Fisher Mail
